Hotel REVIEWS
It is not a typical Caribbean resort hotel, it is more like city hotels. Excellent facilities and very large and clean rooms, with incredible views of Samana Bay. Don't expect much partying, since the hotel's clientele is rather mature and very few Spaniards. Excellent service and good food, although little variety. Refrain from specialty restaurants, they are not worth it, better the buffet. Free transportation to Samaná, at any time you want they will take you and pick you up, great! The town is very quiet, pretty and cheap for shopping (quite better than the Terrenas)
The hotel is incredible, its location is privileged since from our room we could contemplate the sea in an extensive dimension. The rooms were very clean, the bathrooms were spacious and the bathtub had a hydromassage. The staff treated us, the guys at the reception always tried to please us in everything, the guide Mari Carmen, a charm, she was the one who made all the excursions go perfectly. The entertainment team, some great guys, taking into account that the Hotel is recently opened, all of them Luis, Alfonso, Nelson, Eddy, they made the stay at the Hotel more fun, thank you guys!!! I recommend to anyone who wants to get away from what is known about this country, that instead of Punta Cama, visit the Samaná area because it is really worth it, and stay at the Cayacoa.
We stayed at the Cayacoa Resort for two weeks. The beach is excellent, clean and well maintained. We had room 404, excellent view of the bay. We had 7 a la carte dinners. The food is okay, but not excellent overall. The breakfast omelettes are very good. I can't comment on lunch, we skipped it. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The hotel staff is excellent. In particular, our waiter Francesco, was fabulous, always attentive, eager to please, friendly. The rooms are good, but dated. The electrical outlets are old, you need a splitter to connect chargers for phones and smart watches. Bathrooms need updating, old bathtubs, with glass added to make it a shower. Daily: Little or no hot water between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. m. I wouldn't return for this reason.
